**The opportunity**

The Project Officer, First Nations Partnerships role involves providing administrative support for Partnership agreements with Traditional Owners and the Reconciliation Action Plan Steering Committee, while monitoring deliverables within GWW's Reconciliation Action Plan. The position supports the Team Leader in developing briefing materials about progress on First Nations projects and collaborates with the Senior First Nations Advisor to promote cultural knowledge and awareness through organised events like NAIDOC Week and Reconciliation Week. The Project Officer will work within a small team and engage with both internal and external stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**
- Contribute to the First Nations work plan, develop the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) RACI, monitor RAP implementation, execute project initiatives, embody GWW values, and set performance goals.
- Research best practices in developing relationships with First Nations stakeholders and partners.
- Provide administrative and secretariat support for the Reconciliation Action Plan Steering Committee and events, assist with Partnership Agreements development, manage purchase orders and invoices, and organise meetings.
- Prepare materials to support formal and informal presentations, including briefing documents for management to engage with the GWW Executive and Board at external forums.

**Skills & Experience**
- Working with multiple diverse groups to achieve common outcomes
- Project management
- Event management
- Preparation of briefing material to support executive decision-making
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- An understanding of the issues affecting First Nations peoples
- An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with First Nations people.
