**ABOUT THE ROLE**

**General Overview**:
The Machinery Operator is a valuable member of the farm team with key responsibilities of:

- Operating farm machinery, including but not limited to tasks associated with spraying, paddock preparation, planting, spreading, cartage and harvest
- Other farm duties as required
- Observing and monitoring crop health / progress and communicating this to your Manager
- Assisting with the development of farm / group culture in line with the company's values

**Operating Farm Machinery & Equipment**:
The Machinery Operator will operate machinery, including but not limited to
- Preparation of machinery and equipment for various operations
- Complete spraying, planting, spreading, paddock preparation, cartage and harvest as required
- Operate equipment in accordance with instructions and with special attention to the timeliness and quality of the work
- Monitor and consider weather and environmental conditions at all times and vary plans as required
- Monitor and assess the crop while completing tasks and report observations to your Manager
- Ensure all parties are kept well informed at all times
- Assist with the testing and recording of grain/fibre quality and tonnes produced during harvest, as well as the safe storage and handling of grain during and post-harvest.
- Record activates and maintain accurate records in accordance with farm and legislation requirements

**Repairs & Maintenance**

The Machinery Operator will play a role in the repair and maintenance of farm infrastructure and equipment, including:

- Preparation of machinery and equipment for various operations
- Complete spraying, planting, spreading, paddock preparation, cartage and harvest as required
- Operate equipment in accordance with instructions and with special attention to the timeliness and quality of the work
- Monitor and consider weather and environmental conditions at all times and vary plans as required
- Monitor and assess the crop while completing tasks and report observations to your Manager
- Ensure all parties are kept well informed at all times
- Assist with the testing and recording of grain/fibre quality and tonnes produced during harvest, as well as the safe storage and handling of grain during and post-harvest.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Have minimum of 2 years experience in cropping is desirable
- Are genuine and honest.
- Wanting to learn and undertake training
- Be a team player
- Have a good worth ethic
- Have a high understanding of WH&S policies and procedures and will play an important part by:

- Contributing positively to Health Safety and Environment initiatives on farm.
- Ensuring compliance with Warakirri Cropping's Safety Management Plan, as well as any instructions, directions and additional safety procedures
- Taking reasonable care for their own health and safety and for the health and safety of anyone who may be affected by their acts or omissions in the workplace
- Complying with fitness for work requirements, with particular focus on managing risks around fatigue
- Identifying and reporting any health and safety hazards, incidents or near misses

**What's on offer**
- Salary (dependent on experience) $65,000 to $90,000 (plus super)
- 5% bonus annually
- Choice of accommodation ( house close to the office and the other closer to town) including utilities
