**About the Role**

We are looking for people who are fun, energetic, friendly and above all a passion to support people to live a full life. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing care and support to our customers to enable them to achieve their goals.

**About ConnectAbility**

ConnectAbility Australia has provided support for people with a disability for over 30 years. Our Community Living program supports people in their home in properties located across Newcastle, Hunter Valley and Lake Macquarie.

**About You**
- Minimum Certificate 3 in Disability, Community Services, Individual Support, Education, Leisure and Recreation, or related qualifications; or relevant experience working with people with disabilities particularly in dealing with complex healthcare and behaviour support needs
- A current NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC)
- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment
- A current First Aid certificate
- A current Drivers Licence
- Access to a reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle which you are prepared to use for work purposes
- Access to a smartphone which you are prepared to use for work purposes
- Have a can-do attitude, high level of motivation and an energetic approach
- A high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills
- Have a desire to have fun

To be successful in this role you need to be a good listener, remain calm under pressure, be kind, be patient and be sensitive to our customer's needs. Our customers put a lot of trust in us, so it is important that uphold our high ethical standards.

**Shifts offered are 24/7 rotating roster, based on customer choice and needs.
