Overview
An exciting 12-month fixed term contract opportunity has opened for an SAP FICO Functional Consultant, to deliver high-quality application support and functional leadership with our well-known, Melbourne-based role.
Embedded in a dedicated SAP support team, you'll work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Shared Services and Logistics to design, configure and enhance SAP FI/CO functionality.
You'll support business-critical processes, while continuously improving system integrity, documentation and end-user outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide first and second-level SAP FI/CO support across Finance and Shared Services
Analyse and document business requirements and translate into scalable SAP solutions
Lead functional design and delivery of system enhancements and change requests
Configure core SAP Finance and Controlling modules (GL, AA, PCA, CO-OM, IM, PS)
Collaborate with ABAP developers to deliver technical solutions and functional specs
Conduct testing, including unit and integration, with full documentation and traceability
Support SAP patching, continuous improvement initiatives, and integration projects
Maintain system documentation and ensure adherence to change governance
Work closely with logistics, architecture, and vendor teams on cross-functional solutions
What you\'ll need
4+ years SAP FI/CO experience across support, configuration, and project delivery
Deep knowledge of SAP Finance (GL, Asset Accounting, Profit Centre Accounting)
Strong skills in Controlling, including Cost Centres, Internal Orders, PS and IM
Understanding of integration between SAP FI/CO and ECC modules (MM, SD, PM, LE)
Experience in SAP workflows and cross-functional system integration
Full project lifecycle experience and exposure to SAP change governance
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Highly Regarded
Exposure to SAP PI/PO, SharePoint, BI/BO, Fiori or S/4 HANA environments
Experience with basic ABAP, SAP security methodology or managing small-scale projects
