Wok Chef

Overview
dnata Perth Airport, Western Australia, Australia is hiring a Wok Chef on a full-time basis to join the catering unit at Perth Airport. The role requires a highly skilled specialty chef trained in wok dishes and menus, with experience in large multi-function, high-end venues and producing consistent, high-quality items.
Responsibilities
Be the expert for wok-based dishes, cooking methods, taste and quality.
Prepare and produce traditional Asian-style cuisines for Economy, Business, and First class passengers.
Assist the team to prepare over 10,000 hot and cold meals daily.
Stock control and minimizing food wastage.
Clean and maintain a hygienic work environment at all times.
Strictly follow menu specifications as well as all Australian Food Safety / HACCP, Work Health Safety & QSAI policies.
Qualifications
Experience in modern and traditional styles of Japanese, Malay, Chinese, Thai or Singaporean cuisine is highly regarded.
Recognised qualifications in Commercial Cookery (minimum Cert III) with experience in authentic food techniques.
Knowledge of wok handling, heat transfer and wok maintenance.
Ability to work a 7-day rotating shift roster.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
Experience in commercial catering or large-scale hotels is highly regarded.
Experience budgeting and controlling food costs on a large scale.
As this role is in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
