Permanent/Part-time (0.6 FTE) position ideally working Tuesday to Thursday.

The Adult Community Services program at Windana provides AOD services to Windana and community clients. The AOD Clinician is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and providing a range of counselling interventions to assist clients and their family members to change harmful behaviours resulting from problematic alcohol and other drug use.
Provide high quality engagement, assessment, treatment and support services to individuals and their families through evidence based, therapeutic counselling and group work.
Develop treatment plans and provide effective counselling interventions and assertive referrals to meet the individual needs of clients and their families, including those with complex needs.
Provide information, education and practical assistance to clients to help people to reduce the harms of substance use.
Maintain up to date progress notes, case files and data entry in a confidential and professional manner.
Coordinate with Care and Recovery, Clinical Review, and other processes to support seamless transitions between service types and a consistent approach to supporting the achievement of clients' recovery goals.
Provide clients with exit and post treatment support plans to offer them appropriate support to maintain treatment gains.
**What we're looking for**:
Minimum of two years' experience working within the alcohol and drug sector, mental health or other primary health care environment.
Proven experience conducting assessments, case management and development of client-centred treatment plans with clients with complex needs.
Strong interpersonal verbal skills with the ability to build rapport, negotiate and facilitate client outcomes and resolve conflict with a diverse group of people with complex needs using compassion.
Strong professional written case noting skills.
Ability to work autonomously in a faced paced environment and be part of a multidisciplinary team.
IT savvy and proficient with Microsoft's Suite of programs, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint and Excel.
Ideally a relevant health and or welfare Tertiary Qualification such as Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, AOD or other relevant area of study desirable.
Certificate IV in AOD or completion of the core competencies
