As part of the Qantas Group, we take pride in delivering exceptional service while fostering a strong culture of performance, engagement, and continuous improvement.The Training & Compliance Officer is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of training for Flight Crew and Cabin Crew, including both initial and recurrent compliance requirements.
This role specifically oversees Flight Crew Line Flight Proficiency Checks, Emergency Procedures training, recurrent simulator and ground training, upgrade training, continuity of flight crew medical(s) compliance and the completion and maintenance of trainingprograms and records, both manual and electronic.Your role and responsibilities will be:Efficient and accurate rostering and recording of all Flight Crew training and checking in accordance with CASA requirementsEfficient accurate maintenance, rostering and recording of all Licence and Medical Renewals for Flight Crew in accordance with CASA requirementsRostering of monthly checks and training requirements for Flight Operations Pilots including Flight Examiners, check Captains, Training Captains, Flight Simulator instructors and Ground InstructorsPlanning and programming of all Training and Checking events including Ground School, SimulatorArranging, in conjunction with Flight Operations and Cabin Crew Management, unplanned meetings, interviews, and other administrative duties as required by the Training and Checking departmentManage Training Flight and Cabin Crew resources to support the business flying program and conflicting business requirementsYour experience, qualifications and attributes will include:3-5 years in a comparable training role or equivalent, in a highly regulated industryExtensive knowledge of the Civil Aviation Regulatory frameworkThorough understanding of company and generic computer software and the Geneva scheduling/rostering system(s)Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.Ability to drive and manage change function within a multi-function environment with multiple stakeholdersAbility to problem solve and find resolutions.Strong attention to detailSelf-motivated and driven to deliver required outcomesThe Qantas employee benefits program offers amazing benefits that extend well beyond travel.
