**About the opportunity**
- Our programs are designed to support whilst making the transition from student to Registered Midwife within a supportive and welcoming environment. The aim is to promote educational opportunities to graduates as you consolidate your theoretical and clinical skills. This is a structured program with a comprehensive orientation, paid professional development days, and debriefing sessions which are supported by a dedicated learning team.
- Upon successful completion of the program, you will be presented with a certificate of completion.
- Commencing in February and May.

- Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve._

- The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- Registration as a Midwife with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
- Two page Curriculum vitae, relevant experience and clinical rotations
- Certified copy of academic transcripts to date (including 'key to results')
- Two recent and certified acute summative clinical appraisals

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a General Public Hospital located in the rapidly growing Western suburbs of Melbourne. Our services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care. Werribee Mercy Hospital has undergone significant expansion with the opening of our intensive care unit, additional operating theatres and the opening of two wards, taking the total number of beds to 298.
