This hands-on leadership role reports to the Operations Manager and Project Manager, and the successful applicant will thrive in a dynamic, high-output environment where safety, quality and delivery are paramount.In this role, you'll take ownership of:Coordinating the daily workflow in the workshop, prioritising jobs to meet project deadlinesManaging the procurement and stock control of pipe, fittings, and consumablesSupervising a team of fabricators, welders, storemen and apprenticesDelivering staff training and mentoring, and driving a culture of quality and safetyReviewing job specifications, estimating time and materials, and supporting quote preparationOverseeing workshop equipment maintenance, compliance and servicing schedulesEnsuring all fabricated products meet the Australian Standards and internal quality benchmarksLeading toolbox meetings and delivering HSEQ protocols in line with legislationThis is a wide-ranging role with the ideal applicant having proven capability in people and culture, driving process and productivity, ready to shape the operations of a growing workshop.To be successful in this role, you'll have prior experience in fabrication or mechanical piping, with strong organisational and communication skills.
