Our culture is shaped by our people who strive to be their best.About the OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for an Aviation Technical Instructor to join our Aircraft Sustainment & Training team on a casual basis, based in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
You will deliver high-quality aviation training, support student development, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.We're seeking qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineers in Mechanical, Avionics, Structures, Life Support, or those with strong Defence Aviation Safety Regulations experience.Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake facilitation and the delivery of Technical Training in both:Initial Employment Training, andPost Initial Employment TrainingUndertake supervision of Australian Defence Force personnel within a simulated working environmentProvide specialised skills and advice to support aviation technical trainingDevelop and maintain relationships with the customer, government and industry partnersDesign and develop training solutions and documentation, ensuring outputs meet stakeholder requirements for initial and post initial employment trainingMaintain accurate electronic and hard copy records of training documentationGuide and mentor Defence trainees and students in best practice within the aviation environmentAbout YouDemonstrated industry experience as a qualified Aviation Maintenance Engineer (AME) and/or Aircraft/Electrical Engineers with significant experience in Aviation Safety RegulationsA certificate III/IV in Aeroskills, higher qualification, or a current EASA/CASA Licence will be highly regardedCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), or technical training instructor experience will be highly regardedStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholdersDefence security clearance or eligibility to obtainWhite Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) or eligibility to obtainEligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR)We Hire for PotentialWe believe in hiring for potential.
