**The role**
Due to project development, a position for an Aerospace Systems Certification and Assurance Lead has been created. This role could see you based in Melbourne, Adelaide where you could work from an office or from home or in Brisbane from a home-based office.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a global organisation and leading Defence industry partner where you have opportunity to be part of the team developing an Autonomous Vehicle Management System for a high-performance Unmanned Aircraft System. This highly technical role gives you the opportunity to work on military aircraft and new technologies. It's not just a job, it's a career with growth and progression supported by the business. You'll also be working with a good team of technical professionals.
- Lead the project Systems engineering team.
- Work closely with customers; end user safety engineers; certification authorities to develop and interrogate systems CONOPs and requirements
- Develop and draw on, a comprehensive understanding of the Vehicle & Vehicle Management System to develop and derive requirements to deliver a robust VMS solution which supports the end user CONOPs
- Perform requirements analysis, derivation, verification & validation for a complex UAS Vehicle Management System
- Be responsible for the management; tailoring of systems engineering processes across the project, and implement appropriate Systems engineering practices in the software development domain

**You will have**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification such as Aerospace, Software, Mechatronics, Electronics or Systems Engineering
- Sound understanding/experience in aviation
- Strong knowledge of aircraft certification standards, particularly autonomous systems
- Australian Citizenship as a Defence Security Clearance or ability to obtain is essential
- Familiarity with engineering toolsets such as DOORS, Windchill, JIRA
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills and the ability to meet objectives.
