**The Position**

The Deputy Principal - Learning and Innovation will work collaboratively with the Principal, the Leadership Team, College staff, students, families and the wider community to ensure the highest standards of professional excellence and development, in areas ranging from recruitment, mentoring, professional learning, staff development, learning and teaching and leadership.

The Deputy Principal will lead innovation and development for staff and students.

The successful applicant will exhibit the highest levels of professional standards and will be appointed for an initial five years, commencing January 2025.

**We are seeking a person who has**:

- A deep commitment to the Catholic faith tradition
- A willingness to be open and ready to embrace the Mercy charism of the College ethos and ideals of Catholic or faith-based schools.
- Expertise in contemporary educational approaches, with a capacity to lead, staff in a relational manner that upholds high expectations, fosters continuous growth, and champions excellence in learning and teaching.
- A demonstrated ability to develop and lead a learning environment that enables the pursuit of excellence, including planning, implementation and evaluation.
- A capacity to use strategic thinking and planning to drive change and improvement initiatives to enhance teaching and learning practices.
- A proven ability to effectively plan and lead innovation and change
