OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on CNC Machinist (Precision Milling Machine - PMM Operator OR Coordinate Measuring Machine - CMM Operator) to join our Bankstown facility and work with advanced technology in a dynamic and supportive environment.Snapshot of the role:Determine the fixtures and cutting tools necessary to complete jobs according to specificationsLoading and unloading large tools from rack using heavy duty forkliftLoading programs into CNC machinesLoading workpieces into the machineEntering initial settings (e.g., Machine referencing and selecting correct programs)Monitoring machining operationsIntervening in the event of malfunctions, breakdowns, and machining errorsFinishing workpieces and performing quality control checksPerforming minor maintenance tasks to ensuring CNC machines function correctlyPerforming deburring operation on machined partsQualificationsTrade Certificate in Fitter Machinist or similarFamiliarity with interpreting CNC software5-axis CNC milling machining experience will be highly regardedGood mechanical aptitude with an understanding of machining processesAerospace and/or automotive industry experience preferred, although Tooling, Defence, Manufacturing, Jobbing or Marine industry experience will be consideredA practical working knowledge of machining carbon or fiberglass composites, aluminium or reinforced plastic parts would be advantageousRight attitude towards continuous improvement and developing skills to achieve cross trainingWho we areFor over two decades, we have enabled people to do great things in Aerospace globally.
