Our client is a leading manufacturer of bulk material handling equipment for the mining sector. They are renowned for producing innovative and ultra reliable equipment utilising the latest engineering trends. They have been widely recognised for this in industry awards over many years.

Currently, they are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Designer to join their engineering team in Perth. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for creating innovative designs and drawings for material handling / capital equipment, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer requirements.

**The Job**:

- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of bulk material handling equipment, using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and sales, to develop and refine designs based on customer specifications and project requirements.
- Conduct thorough design reviews to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and production teams during the fabrication and assembly processes.
- Maintain accurate design documentation, including design changes, revisions, and updates, using Solid Edge or Vault software.

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required**:

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional design/drafting experience within the material handling / capital equipment sector.
- Proficient in 3D modeling using Autodesk Inventor and 2D drafting using AutoCAD.
- Exposure to Solid Edge or Vault software (preferred).
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
