A permanent 004 Ranger position is available at Blackdown Tableland National Park in Central Queensland.

As directed by the Ranger in Charge, you will plan for, and efficiently and effectively deliver, the Blackdown Tableland Operational Plan and the Duaringa annual work plan.
This will include operating and maintaining plant and equipment, controlling pest plants and animals, undertaking planned burning and wildfire suppression activities and maintaining park infrastructure.You will also manage small projects, undertake compliance and perform various natural and cultural resource management duties.
Practical skills and experience in the maintenance and operation of small power equipment and tools for asset maintenance is necessary.An important aspect of this role will be providing on-ground supervision to field-based staff and working collaboratively with others.
A strong personal work ethic and good communication and interpersonal skills will also be important.
You will need to be adaptable and flexible to on-the-ground service requirements to ensure superior park management services are achieved.Most work will be field based, but you will also undertake administrative tasks.As a 004 Ranger You Must Be Able Tocommunicate clearlymaintain a positive and supportive approachwork effectively in a team, as a supervisor and aloneundertake general estate development and protection dutiesoperate and maintain minor plant and equipmentassist in the development and implementation of the annual works programundertake law enforcement and compliance dutiesprovide general information in response to queries from park visitors and other stakeholdersassist with emergency responsemonitor workplace health and safetyundertake administrative duties including compiling and maintaining records and procuring goods and servicessupport and promote the interests of First Nations peopleYou will undertake activities requiring a level of environmental and service expertise.
