T**he Position**
Non-accredited registrars will primarily function in a supportive capacity for assigned teams, actively participating in evening and weekend rotations, and providing night cover. Within the general surgical units, the team comprises 5 accredited surgical trainees, 4 non-accredited registrars, and dedicated junior doctors. Unaccredited registrars will enjoy significant chances for hands-on experience in the operating theatre, serving as either the primary operator or first assistant. The roster includes planned elective operating theatre exposure.

**The Location**
Just under 2 hours from Melbourne CBD, this is one of Victoria's fastest growing regional cities making it a great city to live and work in. The town provides services for the region's population of over 300,000 and so the city offers excellent schools, shopping and cultural precincts, sporting facilities and various tertiary facilities, as well as restaurants, beautiful parks, walking trials and wineries.

**The Facility**
The hospital was built in 2017, and has a capacity of 700 beds. The facility is a leader in regional health care, combining outstanding services with a strong education, training and personal development culture. Remuneration is in accordance with Victorian Public Health Enterprise Agreements and generous salary packaging arrangements are offered to all staff including flexible working arrangements. This position gives employees great clinical exposure to a range of specialities and offers a strong teaching environment.

**The Requirements**
- A Medical Degree registrable with the Medical Board of Australia with at least 3 years post-graduate experience.
- Demonstrated appropriate level experience and skills in assessment and clinical management of patients.
- Current membership of the College training program (Desirable)
