Overview Blacktown City Council is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Coordinator Engineering Design to lead the delivery of high-quality stormwater and civil design services that enhance the liveability, safety, and sustainability of our growing city.Location Blacktown, NSWEmployment details Work Type: Permanent, Full-TimeSalary: Band 3 Level 4 – TRP commensurate with experienceRecruiter: Public Sector People on behalf of Blacktown City CouncilResponsibilities Lead a high-performing engineering design team, ensuring all projects meet Council's quality, budget, and time requirementsOversee the preparation and authorisation of civil stormwater designs in line with professional standards and legislative obligationsManage the S7.11 design program budget, including forecasting and reportingPrepare strategic plans, technical reports, and policy documents to guide infrastructure outcomesEngage and collaborate with developers, consultants, community stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver integrated solutionsEssential Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering with Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and NER registrationMinimum 8 years' post-qualification experience in stormwater design and cost estimationHigh-level proficiency in AutoCAD, 12D, DRAINS, HEC-RAS, XP-RAFTS, TUFLOW, and MUSICDemonstrated leadership and stakeholder engagement skillsCurrent Class C driver's licenceAbout the opportunity Public Sector People is partnering with Blacktown City Council for this role.
