Your New Role
The position of the Religious Education Coordinator (REC) is a senior leadership role that supports the Principal in implementing the mission and vision of the school, and in growing faith and learning for students.
The REC leads and coordinates learning and teaching in Religious Education and shares in leadership of Catholic Life, Education and Mission to advance the evangelising mission of Catholic schools within the Diocese of Wagga Wagga.

Temporary Religious Education Coordinator and Full-time Permanent Teaching position
Role commencing on 27 January 2026
Salary determined by NESA Accreditation and Teaching Service plus Coordinator 1 Allowance ($9,779 per year)
Relocation Assistance via Muval if relocating >100km
Retention Incentive ($5,000 per annum for the first four years)
Petrol Allowance: $2,000 per annum (pro-rata) if travelling >50km (one-way)

Coordinator appointments are 5 years full-time with potential for a further 5 years based on performance reviews
Essential Criteria
Postgraduate academic qualifications in addition to initial teacher training
Accreditation for Senior Leadership in a Catholic School (Category E) or working towards Accreditation
NESA Accreditation at Proficient Status or beyond
Current Driver's Licence
Current Working With Children Check
Successful candidate to undertake National Criminal History Check
Three referees, including your current employer and your Parish Priest; references checked prior to shortlisting
Skills And Experience
Recent school or system leadership experience
Strong communication skills across forums and media
Knowledge of teaching, curriculum and assessment practices
Ability to think critically, strategically and operationally to drive improvement
High level of relational skills
Ability to analyse data relevant to scope of practice
Experience in budget management and governance procedures
