Key responsibilities of this role
- Provide high level advice on a complex range of policy issues that have relevance and impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and communities. Research, analyse and provide strategic policy advice to the Minister, the Director-General and Senior Executives. Develop, implement and evaluate policy projects impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Queensland. Provide secretariat and administrative support to internal and external stakeholders involved in policy initiatives, including logistics and coordination, preparing agendas and papers and related activities. Support the development, and preparation of, submissions, briefs, ministerial and departmental correspondence, answers to Parliamentary Questions on Notice, notes on Cabinet Submissions and policy advice for the Minister and senior departmental officers. Represent the agency in consultations and forums with a broad range of stakeholders, including executives, governance committees, working groups and consultancies, both internal and external to the department.Applications to remain current for 12 months.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
