**Remuneration**: Band 2 salary from $69,051.32 per annum plus superannuation and a fortnightly RDO

**About the role**
The Cultural Venues Unit is seeking a passionate and skilled barista to join our vibrant team. In this dynamic role, you will provide exceptional customer-focused barista services, crafting high-quality beverages across our onsite café, functions centre, and performing arts venues. Your responsibilities will include leading coffee preparation during peak periods, managing stock quality and control, maintaining a pristine and professional service area, and ensuring equipment is clean and operational. With a focus on teamwork and professionalism, you'll also support training for new staff, assist with catering supplies, and uphold safety and compliance standards. **What your day will look like**
- Deliver exceptional barista services and support front of house and catering operations
- Maintain excellent customer service and uphold professionalism is all interactions
- Keep the barista service area and public spaces clean, tidy, and well-presented
- Ensure barista equipment is clean, operational, and properly maintained
- Prepare, order, and maintain high-quality stock for beverage production
- Manage the purchase and receipt of barista supplies
- Train and induct new team members on coffee equipment and processes
- Follow safety and compliance standards to ensure a secure working environment

**What you will bring**
- Relevant barista experience
- Experience in high volume coffee production, 5-7kgs per day
- Experience in free pour latte art
- Experience in coffee machine technology, including the ability to program the machine and adjust grinders
- Previous experience in functions, events, and hospitality services (desirable)
- First Aid Certificate - Level 1 (desirable)
