Role
Senior In-House Legal Counsel
Location
Perth CBD, Western Australia
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality legal advice and support to executive leadership, project teams, and functional departments.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including EPC, subcontractor agreements, joint ventures, supply chain agreements, and international service contracts.
Advise on legal risks and mitigation strategies across global jurisdictions, with a strong focus on commercial, corporate, employment, and construction law.
Support international operations with cross-border legal advice, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
Manage and coordinate external legal counsel when required, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and cost efficiency.
Keep the business informed of relevant legal developments and contribute to legal training and awareness initiatives.
Play a proactive role in contract lifecycle management and internal governance processes.
Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies, procedures, and frameworks to support business growth and risk management.
What We're Looking For
Qualified legal practitioner with a current practising certificate (WA or eligible to obtain).
Minimum 8+ years of post-admission experience, ideally gained within a top-tier law firm and/or in-house in a similar complex, international business environment.
Strong experience in commercial and corporate law; exposure to construction law and international contracting highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to navigate diverse jurisdictions and manage cross-border legal issues.
Strong commercial acumen and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
