Dukes Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee roasting company based in Melbourne, Victoria. We source, roast & wholesale only the absolute best organic coffees with an obsession for quality and consistency, and we are driven to provide the best service possible to our customers.

Our roastery team is seeking an Apprentice Coffee Roaster for immediate start. This is a full-time role, based out of our Melbourne roastery in Richmond, Victoria, which involves working in our roasting team to perform the full coffee production process. Including:

- Operating roasting equipment and following roast profiles / procedures
- Understanding quality control points and managing them appropriately
- Precise preparation of green coffee, roasted coffee and packaging materials
- Efficiently and precise packing of all coffee products
- Working with the dispatch team to fulfill orders and work on time-critical tasks
- Other general warehouse and production tasks as needed.
- An unbridled passion for coffee, and the desire to work with coffee all day, every day
- Excellent communication skills
- A conscientious, highly organized and independent approach to work
- The ability to work autonomously and efficiently in a small-team environment
- Prior experience in coffee (for example, as a barista or other professional coffee role) is required
- Prior experience in coffee roasting is not essential
