Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.WHAT SOUTH32 OFFERSThe opportunity to become a shareholder of South32 through our share plansEducation assistance up to $8000 per year14% SuperannuationABOUT THE ROLEThis role is a Permanent full-time position on a 7:7 rotating day and night shift roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.As the Boilermaker, you will be responsible for ensuring all routine and non-routine maintenance activities for the Fixed Plant Maintenance department are appropriately undertaken so that work is completed on schedule in a safe and efficient manner.Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance on all fixed plant mining equipmentExecute work orders as per schedule and relevant work instructions associated with themEnsure compliance to the work management process and capture related transactional data into SAP systemProvide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliabilityABOUT YOUYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:Experience working in a Fixed Plant environmentAbility to draw and interpret simple engineering drawingsA team player with good communication skills and willingness to step upQualifications for this position are:Australian Trade qualified Boilermaker (Required)High Risk Work Licence: WP, LF, DG & MR preferred but not essentialConfined Space and Working at Heights ticketsCurrent Drivers LicenceSouth32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
