Assist in the identification of impacts from development proposals upon freshwater and marine fisheries resources, for example waterways providing fish passage and marine plants.
- Assist with the identification and negotiation of lesser impact options for development proposals.
- Prepare reports, letters and comments and delivery of formal and informal talks or presentations.
- Carry out pre-work development proposal site inspections and impact monitoring of completed authorised developments.
- Assist in the review and preparation of comments on planning instruments in relation to the management of fish habitats and fisheries resources.

This recruitment and selection is to establish a pool of applicants who will be considered for relieving opportunities for various periods as the Fisheries Biologist in Nambour or Cairns in Fisheries Queensland during periods of leave over the next 12 months.
