The Senior Advisor, Youth Detention Recruitment is responsible for providing best practice advice and skills, specialising in the recruitment and selection of frontline Detention Youth Workers and other departmental staff within youth detention.Within this scope you will deliver culturally appropriate recruitment and facilitate selection activities and strategies including talent attraction and candidate assessment.
You will also be required to contribute expert knowledge and skills to assist the team to implement strategic recruitment initiatives in a complex workforce.The Senior Advisor, Youth Detention Recruitment is responsible for providing best practice advice and skills, specialising in the recruitment and selection of frontline Detention Youth Workers and other departmental staff within youth detention.Within this scope you will deliver culturally appropriate recruitment and facilitate selection activities and strategies including talent attraction and candidate assessment.
You will also be required to contribute expert knowledge and skills to assist the team to implement strategic recruitment initiatives in a complex workforce.Responsibilities IncludeDeliver contemporary culturally appropriate advice and consulting services to executives, and applicants relating to recruitment and selection for roles within the youth detention stream of the Department.Specifically manage and contribute to recruitment and selection processes to fill vacancies in youth detention centres, with a particular emphasis on bulk recruitment processes.Build professional and productive working partnerships with a portfolio of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate quality service delivery, practice and outcomes.Work closely with other areas to contribute to initiatives that enable the growth of a diverse and culturally capable workforce.Prepare reports and other correspondence related to recruitment and selection matters and issues, and ensure accurate records are maintained.Maintain sound and current knowledge of recruitment and selection practices, policy and procedures to ensure contemporary recruitment solutions are delivered to clients.Contribute to the evaluation of services and the implementation of new initiatives from the Department's strategic and operational plans to ensure continuous improvement and implementation of quality recruitment and selection management to achieve organisational strategic goals.Participate as part of a cohesive high performing team in which all members' contributions are valued and encouraged.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Occupational group HR & Industrial Relations
