The Youth Early Intervention Mental Health Clinician will be a valued member of Infant Child Youth Area Mental Health Wellbeing Service and undertakeevidence based mental health assessment, formulation and individualized recovery planning, and multi-model therapeutic treatment that is consistent with standards outlined for consumers with severe mental health difficulties.
We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.
Unencumbered registration with APHRA for Nursing, Occupational Therapist, Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist.
Eligibility for membership with AASW for Social Work.
Post graduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing or specialist post basic course of training which led to registration as a Div 3 Mental Health Nurse.
Demonstrated ability, and experience in working with and engaging young people and families/carers with complex presentations.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including a demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
A current Victoria (or equivalent) driver's license

AWH is an Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, providing mental health treatment, care and support, including delivering Alcohol and Other Drugs services.
We deliver 10 specialised community-based programs, along with three acute care services and three facilities dedicated to recovery and rehabilitation.
We also provide services supporting families coping with parental mental illness and facilitating connections to carer consultants.
Our Mental Health and Wellbeing teams comprise mental health clinicians with a background in nursing, occupational therapy, social work, and psychology, all of whom have experience in helping people through a range of therapies.

The Incentive program was designed by the Department of Health to support the attraction, relocation, and retention of mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) workers to priority positions area mental health and wellbeing services across rural and regional Victoria.
Candidates relocating may be eligible for grants of up to $20,000 to cover expenses such as removalist, travel fees, accommodation costs, school fees, etc.
