INSTALLER OF WINDOW FURNISHINGS

Factory Blinds is a manufacturing retailer of window furnishings in Launceston, Tasmania. Factory Blinds has been established for over 25 years and has a workforce of 20+ permanent employees.

The simple job description is installer of window furnishings which includes external and internal blinds, awnings, shutters and curtains along with repairs and maintenance. You would work with one of our senior, experienced installers while out on site. The job entails picking the customer order, loading the vans and travelling to site for the day's work of installations as required. Tools are supplied.

The job is based at Prospect, Tasmania and you will travel to the job site from there. The job site could be anywhere within the state but predominantly Launceston and the Tamar Valley.

You must be physically fit, hold a current driver's license and be able to work at heights. Ideally you will hold a White Card, be accredited to work with vulnerable people and be able to provide an up to date police check. You must live within a 50km radius of Launceston and be eligible to work in Australia in any job role.

The job is permanent with a minimum of 4 days per week but commonly five. The hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. No weekend work. Pay rate is to be determined by experience with minimum rate for the total beginner being $25:00 per hour at ordinary rate or $31.25 at casual rate. Experienced applicants may be offered a higher rate.
