The Y Queensland's childcare services has been at the heart of Australian communities for more than 40 years, with our first early learning service opening in Brisbane in 1977 after we identified the need for childcare that focused on helping children grow in body, mind and spirit.

We are seeking experienced **Educators** to join our **early learning** service on a **casual** basis, located at **Acacia Ridge, QLD**.

**ABOUT THE CENTRE**

YMCA Acacia Ridge Early Learning Centre is one big, happy, multicultural family Our experienced team is led by our amazing Director Renata who has been a familiar face at the centre for more than 20 years.

The outdoor play area and 'musical sandpit' are the perfect setting for children to explore and create their very own musical masterpiece. Our Educators provide endless opportunities for children to explore their sense of sound, art, music and other fun and interactive experiences. Through our partnership with YMCA Gymnastics, we provide children with regular KinderGym lessons - a fun and easy class to let kids unleash their imagination and learn simple gymnastics skills.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
- Must be available for open and close shifts
- Create an environment which fosters children's safety, security, and positive relationships

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Liaise and communicate effectively with parents and other staff, including hospital staff
- Monitor and provide appropriate level of supervision
- Contribute to a positive learning environment for all children and Educators
- Help other Educators with programs through your strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)

**It is essential to have the following**:

- Hold a Cert III in Children's Services or ACECQA approved equivalent (or actively studying towards)
- Demonstrated experience in early childhood education
- Ability to effectively organise and plan activities
- Have a current Working with Children's Check or willing to obtain
