We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Maths Tutors to join our team.
You will enhance student learning through direct engagement in Contour classes, personalised 1-on-1 consultations, and ongoing academic support.
You will work collaboratively with tutors to ensure students receive the highest quality education and support.
This role also offers a development pathway for those aspiring to become tutors.Who Are WeWe empower students and their studies by providing an ecosystem of highly effective tutoring, resources and support.
We run weekly small-group tutoring sessions, presented by young and experienced tutors that teach in a simple, intuitive and engaging way.
We also supplement these sessions with weekly workshops, complimentary 1-on-1 support and a learning portal with a comprehensive suite of resources and practice material to help students master their subjects.Over 6,000 students and 150+ team members have joined Contour since our founding in the beginning of 2020.

It's our vision to reshape education, starting with tutoring.Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Assistant Tutor, you will be responsible for:Class Support (Secondary Tutoring)Support the academic development of students during lessons.Assist with classroom operations.Clarify concepts, answer questions, and reinforce subject knowledge.Mentor students with study strategies and academic guidance.Student Support Outside the Class1-on-1 Consultations: Offer personalised academic support through scheduled online sessions.Text-Based Support: Respond to student queries via our messaging platform.Content & Quality AssuranceAssist in proofreading and reviewing educational materials.Identify and report errors or inconsistencies to maintain high content quality.VCE Chemistry 1/2 & 3/4.VCE Maths Methods & Specialist Mathematics 1/2 & 3/4.RequirementsSkill RequirementsHonesty and IntegrityPassion for TeachingHigh Level of EmpathyEnergy and EnthusiasmExcellent Communication SkillsIndependence & ProactivenessWilling to Listen, Learn & LeadIntelligence & CreativityAcademic Requirements99+ ATAR45+ Raw Study Score in Methods and Specialist MathsFirst Year Uni Subject Specific Knowledge or AboveTutoring Experience in Methods and Specialist MathsAcademic Awards in Methods and Specialist MathsNOTE:These are not hard-fast academic requirements; however, they are favourable to your application.Personal RequirementsFull Academic Year CommitmentSign an NDAAgree to a non-compete clauseAbility to Commit to Weekly ClassesTravel to our LocationsGenuine Desire to Motivate StudentsPast VCE GraduateWe have opportunities for tutors at all of our campus locations, creating variety, flexibility and the opportunity to tutor close to home.Point CookNarre WarrenBox Hill
