Energised Talent solutions is supporting this technology-led company who have a long history specialising in the delivery of reliable on-grid and off-grid power solutions.
With continued growth across the renewable energy sector within their business, focused on industrial scale Solar and BESS projects. they are now looking to hire a Procurement specialist on a full-time basis in Sydney.
The Procurement specialist is responsible for purchasing goods or services for all of the companies Projects, ensuring quality products and services are obtained on time through a fair and competitive process.
Key elements of the role include:
- Manage third party expenditure and third-party suppliers.
- Maximise value from external sources, products, and services.
- Develop a focused procurement process and structure.
- Develop successful and productive relationships with suppliers.
- Assist in the commercial function of bidding, contract acceptance, and variation management.
- Establish, implement, and communicate a procurement process that is streamlined and automated.
- Work closely with the relevant members of the project team, including commercial and finance.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers to ensure all procurement is competitive and within budget.
- Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers to ensure alignment with company and project standards and requirements.
- Negotiate and manage all aspects of transportation and freight, including communication and reporting to the project team.
- Track purchase order status and provide continuous updates to the project team, including scheduling impacts.
- Prepare reports for the project team and senior management, including but not limited to:
- Outstanding Purchase Orders
- In Progress Purchase Orders
- Manufacturing Schedules and Status
- Logistics Plans and Scheduling
**About you**
It is expected that you will be a procurement specialist with expertise working on construction related projects. It is not essential that you have previous renewable energy expertise, so this is a unique opportunity for someone to make the transition into the industry.
You will have demonstrated procurement expertise from an industry that delivers projects and therefore you will have the knowledge and expertise in procurement of materials for projects to ensure deadlines and budgets are adhered. An example of relatable industries include building construction, utilities, civil infrastructure, rail, electrical construction etc.
