**Responsibilities**:
- Develop models of market dynamics in Australia including the National Electricity Market (NEM) spot and contract markets as well as East Coast Gas Markets
- Preparing presentations, insights, and dashboards of analytical and energy market outcomes for a wide range of internal stakeholders both local and global
- Ad hoc analysis requested by other teams within GEMS and other business units in relation to energy markets
- Communicate effectively across groups of different skill level and expertise to efficiently deliver the key messages for market analysis including relevant energy news or key market events
- Manage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Support review of external announcements, publications (e.g. Govt, AER, and AEMC) and forecasts (e.g. ISP and ESOO) and help formulate ENGIE's view
**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will have strong analytical skills (SQL, Python, R, PowerBI).
Ideally you'll bring forward your experience with market models and analysis bid stacks and constraints for Electricity and Gas spot markets.
You will be an excellent analytical thinker and problem solver and can work collaboratively with others to achieve shared goals.

**The Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) business unit** is the fully integrated trading arm of the ENGIE Group. GEMS teams manage a large and highly diversified energy portfolio, including electricity, natural gas, biomass, LNG and other fuels, CO2 and environmental products, and provide a range of trading risk management solutions to all types of market participants in Europe, Asia Pacific and in the Americas. GEMS manages the B2B supply business within ENGIE, including supply contracts and Power Purchase Agreements.
Within the GEMS Business Unit, the **Australia and New Zealand Business Platform (BP ANZ**) are managing and developing the group's trading activities for these regions around 4 main pillars: risk management and market access, asset management, green solutions and energy supply businesses.
The missions of the BP ANZ are:
- Support the development and the operations of the other GBUs in all aspects related to risk representation and risk management
- Develop a commercial franchise which contributes to the overall risk management of the portfolio and generates value
