As the Principal Community Services Officer, you will specifically:

- Coordinate the regional Student Placement Unit, including liaising with universities to identify and assess suitable students for placement in Youth Justice Service Centres across the region.
- Provide leadership in the implementation of strategies that facilitate and sustain the formation of partnerships between the department and key stakeholders, including universities and recruitment expos.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with key stakeholders.
- Represent youth justice at regional consultation forums, committees or working groups as required.
- Facilitate the effective engagement in the partnership of people, communities and organisations from First Nations and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
- Develop and lead a strong, integrated multi-agency service system in collaboration with non-government funded and unfunded provider/s, and relevant government agencies at a local level.
- Conduct planning activities, including service mapping and outcome monitoring and evaluation, to identify potential challenges and enhance service delivery.
- Promote learning and information sharing in relation to youth justice practice, through such means as site mentoring, delivery of learning and development opportunities, and via the preparation of a range of high-quality communication materials, facilitation of training and information sessions to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Travel: While the position is based in Ipswich, travel within the region for site visits and to other regional offices will be required in this role and may include overnight stays.
