Your Opportunity
As the Assistant Infrastructure Coordinator you will contribute to the delivery of Vocational Education and Training (VET) services through the provision of efficiently and effectively assisting with site operations by supervising the coordination of internal and external facility services across multiple campuses of TAFE Queensland Brisbane.
This position sits in the Infrastructure and Assets unit and reports to the Campus Site Coordinator.
This is a Permanent Full-time opportunity based accross TAFE Queensland's Grovely campus however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of TAFE Queensland.
Assist in the supervision of day-to-day operations of infrastructure services, including the supervision of staff and contractors by providing clear direction, assistance, support and guidance.
In collaboration with Infrastructure and Assets management, advocate and address infrastructure needs of the campus ensuring it is maintained to a professional standard and complete any administrative requirements including raising jobs in QBuild and other systems utilised for maintenance management.
Undertake the movement, relocation, collection and/or delivery of equipment, goods and other items necessary for the effective operation of TAFE Queensland Brisbane.
Supervise, and when required, perform regular grounds maintenance of lawns, trees, shrubs, pots and gardens including watering, planting, pruning, mowing, fertilising, pest and weed control where necessary to ensure the presentation of the grounds and surrounds are maintained to a high standard across locations and
Ensure all tools, equipment and machinery is maintained to a reasonable and safe condition, performing or coordinate minor maintenance and repairs as required.
Undertake the preparation and assembly/dismantling of materials for display/promotions etc associated with TAFE Queensland Brisbane activities.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide excellent customer service and as the campus contact, advocate for campus activities in consultation with key business areas, including leading and supporting local communication, local inductions of new staff, promotion of refresher inductions for all staff and encouragement of staff activities that build morale, local events that build community engagement and meet/greet visitors for tours as required.
Exercise delegations to make local decisions when required to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of staff.
Advocate for the effective and safe operation of the campus as a Health and Safety Representative, including participation in the WHS Committee and ensuring adherence with legislative requirements and TAFE Queensland's policies and procedures and report directly to your inline manager in case of emergencies and/or critical incidents.
As the campus contact, advocate for campus activities in consultation with key business areas, including leading and supporting local communication, local inductions of new staff, promotion of refresher inductions for all staff and encouragement of staff activities that build morale, local events that build community engagement and meet/greet visitors for tours as required.
Maintain a current knowledge of legislation, policies, procedures and process relevant TAFE Queensland as well as an understanding of TAFE Queensland's product and services.
Undertake other work as directed.
