The Role:
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Officer for a 1-week temporary assignment, with a strong possibility of extension beyond July 31st. This role offers a 35-hour work week and will be based full-time in our Lane Cove office. You'll be responsible for the usual Accounts Payable duties within a council environment.
Responsibilities:
End-to-end Accounts Payable
Preparing and processing regular payment runs (e.g., weekly EFT payments).
Ensuring payments are made within agreed terms and conditions to avoid late fees and maintain good supplier relationships.
Handling ad-hoc or urgent payment requests.
Performing regular reconciliations of supplier statements to the accounts payable ledger.
About You:
You're an Accounts Payable professional with at least 1 year of experience working within a local council. Experience with the CIVICA system is highly desired. You have exceptional attention to detail and are available to start immediately.
