Details
The Lucas Group has partnered with Farming Management Services (FMS) to search for a General Manager Operations (GMO) based in their Perth offices. The incoming GMO will be responsible for the operational management and maintenance of the aggregation's 9 Western Australian farming properties.
The aggregation runs:
- Approximately 43,000 hectares of crop
- 24,500 ewes
- 4,400 breeders Poll Hereford (with some mixed herd)
In this position, you will ensure the commerciality of the farms, driving profitability within determined budgets. The successful applicant will also lead FMS's safety and operational performance, promoting a culture that reflects the organisation's values, encourages high performance, and rewards productivity.
This position will require extensive leadership, organisation, and management skills. You will bring a passion for people, performance, safety, and excellence, alongside a thorough knowledge of all aspects of mixed-farming practices. The ability to effectively manage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels will be invaluable.
Some exposure to farm management software, as well as strong computer literacy, will be highly regarded.
