**The Opportunity**

We are now offering an exciting opportunity for Professorial Research and Impact Fellows (Level E) to join our VU Research community. This is a unique opportunity to lead internationally recognised, high-impact research that advances disciplinary knowledge and delivers real-world benefits.

**Responsibilities**will include**:

- Leading and sustaining a distinguished and high-impact research program that is original, innovative and internationally recognised
- Achieving and sustaining national and international research excellence
- Providing strategic research leadership
- Driving major research funding initiatives
- Building research capability and culture
- Strengthening interdisciplinary and translational research
- Promoting equity and inclusion in research
- Advancing academic citizenship and institutional strategic goals.

**This is a Full Time, Fixed Term position available for a period of up to 5 years at the classification of Level E. The full-time equivalent salary is $207,846.20 per annum plus 17% superannuation.**

**About You**

You are a nationally and internationally recognised research leader with a distinguished track record of publications, sustained research funding, and significant contributions to research impact. With more than 15 years' research experience post-PhD (or equivalent considering career interruptions), you bring deep expertise, strategic vision, and a commitment to mentoring the next generation of researchers and shaping the future of your field.

**You will have**:

- A PhD in a relevant discipline.
- An established and growing record of high-quality research outputs, with national recognition and emerging international standing.
- Evidence of securing and managing competitive external research funding, including partner engagement and project delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research that contributes to advancing knowledge within a disciplinary or interdisciplinary context.

**Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.**This role requires current valid work rights for Australia. Relocation assistance will be provided to overseas and interstate Fellows in line with VU policy.
