"We don't look for people for projects but the projects for our people"About the RoleWe are looking for a Commissioning Manager to effectively lead and manage the commissioning process on major Data Centre builds and ensure every project is completed efficiently.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining best practice and supporting commissioning activities on all relevant A W Edwards sites.
This role will liaise with multi-disciplinary construction/commissioning teams and optimise systems/processes for performance and reliability.Key responsibilities include:Implement and manage a governance framework, supporting commissioning activities across all data centre projects.Participate in the key design reviews to ensure that the pre-commissioning and commissioning requirements are incorporated into the design of the facilities.Provide commissioning expertise and oversight on all projects from factory acceptance to project completion and handover.Responsible for project field and jobsite start-up and commissioning operations.Monitors and reviews all commissioning programs and makes necessary revisions to program as required.Design and plan the commissioning phase to match programme requirements.Champion the commissioning process, provide guidance and arrange for training of staff.Support the construction team during project delivery and monitor compliance to A W Edwards and end client requirements.Manage the root cause analysis and lessons learnt process for continuous improvement of the design and commissioning stages.Mentor and impart knowledge to more junior staff.About you:Minimum of 5 years' experience as a commissioning managerDemonstrable successful record on 'similar' scale projects within major services-heavy construction projects in excess of $300m (Data Centres, Hospitals etc)A strong focus on safety and implementationExcellent attention to detail and ability to quickly recognise issues or foresee and navigate risk earlySound knowledge of key stakeholder requirements and the ability to communicate through the following construction channels, ACONEX, PROCORE and BIM modelExcellent understanding of major mechanical & electrical elements throughout the buildExcellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.Knowledge of building methods and materialsSkill interpreting drawings and architectural plansAn understanding of building standards and safety regulationsAdministration skills, and knowledge of cost control and purchasingAn understanding of quality control systemsWhy join A W EdwardsThis is a top tier business well-known for creating a workplace that feels like a family companyA strong corporate identity that will give you an opportunity to develop your construction career through a variety of projects in the future.Clear focus on delivering numerous key building projects in the Sydney Metro area.Here is an opportunity where you can grow within a business that rewards people who want to be future leaders and are driven by the organisation's values on each of their projects.There aren't many times in your career where you can honestly say, 'I am working for the best'EEOA W Edwards is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
