Children's Health Queensland provides services from key locations in the Brisbane metropolitan area and works with the 15 other hospital and health services as well as NGOs and charity partners in Queensland to deliver an integrated network of healthcare services and support across the state.
**Your Opportunity**:
To provide a high profile, friendly and visible Security and Protective Service that fosters a safe and secure environment for staff, patients, visitors, premises and property at Childrens Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS) sites. This position will work collaboratively with other teams and departments to support the CHQ purpose of improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people through world-class care, research, advocacy, and leadership.
The Ambassador is a non-traditional security role, managed under Hospital and Health Service Security, that provides a patient-focused liaison role within select clinical areas. This role is focused on the proactive engagement of patients and visitors to improve the 'customer experience' to prevent and/or reduce aggressive/disruptive behaviour by employing appropriate verbal intervention strategies through people focused, respectful, empathetic, and supportive interactions aimed at promoting a safe environment and the provision of high-quality patient focused care.
