Deliver high-quality managed funds research and analysis for financial advisers at Lonsec, a leading Australian investment research firm.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive analysis across various asset classes, including Australian Equities, Global Equities, Fixed Interest, Cash, and Alternatives.
Facilitating the coverage initiation of new funds and maintaining ongoing coverage of products.
Developing technical knowledge of products across asset classes, Lonsec processes, and house views.
Assisting in report writing and meeting preparation, involving the synthesis of written information and evaluation of product merits.
Working alongside experienced Investment Analysts and Senior Investment Analysts in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Taking ownership of research and contributing to wider team efforts.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
1-3 years of experience within a research house, financial advisory firm, fund manager, or similar, with a strong focus on financial analysis and market knowledge.
Strong qualitative research skills, with the ability to distil financial information efficiently and convey it clearly and concisely.
A demonstrable interest in finance and investment.
Proficient quantitative skills for data manipulation and analysis.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
Demonstrable understanding of investments, equities, and ETFs, or a keen interest to acquire such knowledge.
Communication skills that allow for asking probing questions with confidence and clarity.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team, while also taking ownership of individual objectives.
A positive attitude and a passion for learning.
Current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia (e.g., Citizen or Permanent Resident).
