**About the role**

As a **Sales Development Representative **(SDR) you will drive revenue growth by seeking new business opportunities, contacting and nurturing relationships with potential customers. Serving as the first point of contact for Global Payments the SDR will work to understand customer needs, articulate our value proposition and establish strong connections to enable a long term relationship and sales conversion.

Other key areas of responsibility will include:

- Research prospective clients in key verticals, creating outreach strategies, nurturing relationships and identifying real sales opportunities for the sales team;
- Build a qualified pipeline of leads for the sales team by identifying, researching and generating new target prospects (outbound lead generation);
- Conduct effective qualification conversations with prospects through deep understanding of our product and value proposition;
- Effectively manage pipeline in Salesforce with clear notes and actions;
- Achieving and exceeding targets and KPI's.

**About you**

You are commercially focused with a passion for Customer Service and Sales and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You have a natural ability to engage and build rapport with people. You'll be persuasive and have a strong ability to lead conversations with clients.

You will also bring:

- Previous lead generation/outbound telesales experience - prospecting/cold calling in a B2B environment;
- Great communication skills, with the ability to make complexity easily understood;
- Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, supportive team;
- You'll have strong empathy and genuinely care about improving business practices for our customers;
- Drive, ambition and motivation to succeed ;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- A keen interest in FinTech, Software or Technology.
