Our platform handles tens of millions of queries per second from around the world, serviced in single-digit-millisecond response times.
This role is a primary contributor and leading subject matter expert on the Business Intelligence team, driving a culture of data-driven decision making for teams across the organization.
This position requires working cross-functionally to understand evolving business needs.
You will design and develop insights capabilities, presentations, and models to guide strategic decision making for senior and executive stakeholders.
You will also use advanced analytics techniques to surface insights, guide business decisions, and proactively identify opportunities and threats.
What you'll do Surface insights from multiple data sources to support complex operational decision making.
Execute and/or coordinate critical, advanced analytics initiatives, providing interpretation of findings and implications for The Trade Desk.
Provide analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics across various business areas and develop actionable insights for leadership.
Influence The Trade Desk leadership by proactively seeking and framing opportunities and identifying business risks.
Develop solutions that deliver critical data-driven insights and decision metrics proactively and at scale.
Participate in and lead cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Operations, Product, Technology, People Analytics, Finance) to drive BI initiatives.
Develop strong, professional, and collaborative relationships among BI team leadership and key stakeholders.
Provide transformational thought leadership for analytics including advanced data modeling, predictive modeling, and analytical techniques.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Who you are Master's degree in a quantitative or scientific field (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, etc.) or equivalent experience 12-15+ years of analytical experience in advanced analysis and predictive analytics; demonstrated proficiency in applying this experience to address business problems and aid decision making 4-6 years leading and managing BI teams Significant proficiency in one or more programming languages (SQL/R/Python) Expert level experience with standard analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and ability to create presentations conveying compelling data-driven stories Experience with BI and analysis tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) Demonstrated curiosity to understand the "why" in the data Excellent critical thinking skills and proven track record presenting complex data-driven insights to stakeholders at all levels Ability to understand complicated problems and supply concise, relevant answers; able to convey technical topics to non-technical audiences Ability to work independently in a rapidly growing environment with multiple priorities and strong attention to detail Ability to build consensus across cross-functional and geographic teams Adtech experience a plus; willingness to come up to speed quickly on complex business topics Can-do attitude with motivation to have significant and measurable impact on the business Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff Note: This section contains an Equal Opportunity Employer statement and accommodation information.
