**YHA** Sydney Harbour is currently seeking a Receptionist/Cafe All Rounder to join the team on a **part-time basis**.

The Receptionist/ Cafe All Rounder is responsible for front office, guest interactions, ensuring the Café runs smoothly by assisting wherever required. Café All Rounders interact with people regularly, so a friendly positive attitude, and strong customer service skills are paramount.

**Day-to-day duties include**:
**Receptionist**:

- Providing excellent customer service to property guests and contributing to the property's friendly and cheerful atmosphere
- Checking in and out guests and providing them with information that will assist in enjoyable stay
- Ensuring property rules are adhered to and harmony is maintained
- Actively promoting and selling travel and tour products and keeping up to date on local travel product knowledge

**Cafe Attendant**:

- Preparing/serving of coffee, food and drinks including taking orders
- Operating a point-of-sale terminal and EFTPOS machine plus cash handling
- Café cleaning duties including cleaning coffee machines and equipment
- Refilling drink fridges and snacks
- Maintaining service area to food safety standards
- Support of the Café Team with a "can do" attitude

**What we are looking for**:

- Demonstrated experience as a barista within a fast paced, premium establishment (min 1 year)
- Customer service, face to face experience working in hotels or hostels
- Excellent communications skills and interpersonal skills
- High volume experience being able to work on multiple orders at once
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Good at cash handling and multi-tasking in general
- Outgoing personality and genuine interest in the day-to-day operations
- Exceptional presentation and grooming
- Flexible availability 24/7 roster including weekends and public holidays

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
