Design Team Systems Engineer and Robotics Specialist at HTR Group, Symonston, ACT, Australia. Contract position for an initial 31 month period, with a 2 x 12 month extension option, in the Defence sector.
Base pay range: A$110.00/hr - A$150.00/hr. The actual pay will be based on skills and experience; discuss with your recruiter.

Responsibilities
Priority of effort is to assure fitness of purpose and safety of the Design Team's product line outputs.
Oversee engineering process alignment and governance within the Design Team product lines, in accordance with Design Team Program Management Office and engineering policies.
Hold and exercise design authority where appropriate.
Conduct technical reviews and approvals of engineering designs, documentation, investigations and trial reports as directed by the Design Team Engineering Manager.
Assist in developing and maintaining GxA Standards within the Standards Management program (as needed).
Represent GxA standards to industry, broader Defence, and international stakeholders.
Provide technical support and advice.
Identify and manage product or project risk, escalating to SO2 Design when risk may impact Design Team business outcomes.
Develop and serve as the technical point of contact for the GRASA.
Collaborate with the Design Engineering Manager to support design engineering processes, including information management for modelling artefacts.
Engage with external engineering and technical stakeholders to understand technology solutions and frame GRASA strategic direction and outcomes.
Support ongoing Digital Engineering efforts by showcasing use of MBSE to the broader Defence community.
Qualifications & Requirements
AGSVA Security clearance
Defence experience
Experience in conducting integration engineering activities
Experience in complex Engineering/Software projects and robotics within the Defence context
