**The Company**
This organisation is a leading retail, transport and logistics business who are well known to customers with a significant operational footprint.
**The Role**
Leading and supporting key business units across a geographically disperse portfolio, you will proactively drive the implementation of the WHS Strategy, deployment of practices which support legislative requirements, build capability within all levels of leadership, foster effective workforce engagement, and drive continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Work with and support the senior leadership team on the implementation of WHS Standards and responsibilities
- Coach, support, motivate and develop a geographically dispersed team to enable them to deliver to the best of their ability and to improve safety performance and safety culture.
- Promote and be a role model for Safety leadership and ensure the WHS resources are as well
- Bring new ideas and contemporary approaches, safety direction, planning, implementation and outcomes.
- Support and implement improvements across areas such as WHS policies, procedures and systems
**About You**:
- Strong experience managing a WHS function within an operational, multi-site environment, ideally within the Transport or Logistics field.
- Degree or Diploma in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) or equivalent
- CoR/ Basic Fatigue Management experience desirable
- Strong stakeholder engagement
- Effective communication skills at all levels of the organisation
