*This position will support Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) Government Solutions in their joint Department of Defense program in Alice Springs, Australia.
The successful candidate will represent International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. and provide the services outlined below:We are seeking an experienced Medical Technician to join our interdisciplinary team.
The role involves performing diagnostic tests, operating medical equipment, and ensuring accurate results to support patient care.
The technician will collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to assist in diagnosing and monitoring medical conditions.Key Responsibilities:Provide first aid, emergency medical services, health examinations, and nursing services to employees.Coordinate with injury management, workers' compensation, and external providers.Educate employees on health and illness prevention.Prepare and maintain accident reports, health histories, and injury records.Maintain inventory of EMS equipment and first aid supplies.Assist in drug and alcohol testing at the worksite.Oversee health-related issues such as water quality, food preparation, and living area safety.Follow established procedures in performing duties.Provide healthcare support at designated locations.Use judgment within defined procedures and regulations for treatment methods.Apply techniques used in medical support of QHSE standards.Deliver compassionate patient interactions and support healthcare providers.Demonstrate strong communication skills and attention to detail.Work effectively in dynamic environments.Handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.Complete organizational compliance training, including requirements for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services or other regulatory bodies.Qualifications and Skills:Strong foundation in laboratory procedures, patient care, and diagnostic testing.Detail-oriented with proficiency in medical equipment and sample analysis.Work Experience:Minimum five (5) years as a Medical Technician.Experience with medical equipment and tools.Qualifications:Relevant Australian Medical Technician certification or license.Current CPR certification.Physical Demands:Work typically performed in an office environment.Sitting and standing for extended periods.Bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs.Other Qualifications:US, UK, or Australian citizenship required.Willing to relocate to Alice Springs, Australia for the contract duration.Valid passport required prior to relocation and must be maintained during stay.International SOS is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable laws regarding discrimination.Compensation ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, based on experience and other factors.
