We have opportunities to join the Food Services Team at Andrews House, our Aged Care Facility in Trafalgar in the roleof Food Services Assistant.This position will undertake a range of routine food tasks such as plating meals, serving meals, washing dishes and basic food preparation tasks.
Casual positions are used to backfill shifts and do not include regular hours, although evening and weekend availability is essential. We offer a friendly, team focused work environment, comprehensive orientation to the department and organisation, and free car parking.
Our preferred candidate will have:
Current Certificate – Safe Food Handlers Certificate – HLTTFS7A or equivalent
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Previous food services experience particularly within a Residential Aged Care setting
Commitment to providing a customer focused service
Ability to read and understand work procedures, patient diet lists, menus and safety instructions
IMPORTANT:
Some roles in the healthcaresector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) may be required prior to commencement.
