**Program background**

Climate Resilient Communities (CRC) supports implementation of the Australian Government's climate change commitments under _Australia's International Development Policy_, in line with partner government priorities.

CRC supports the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to increase climate investments, drive climate integration, and better address climate change and disaster risk across Australia's development portfolio.

CRC incentivises funding towards gender-responsive, inclusive climate and disaster resilience programming, particularly in the water, food, nature-based solutions, and energy sectors.

DFAT has engaged DT Global to support the implementation of CRC through a Support Unit.

**The Role**

The Program Officer role is ideal for an early-career professional, recent graduate or returned international Australian Volunteers Program participant, wanting to establish their career in the international development sector. The Program Officer will:

- Provide financial, logístical and capacity development support across the CRCSU as required
- Ensure proper filing and storage of all operations and procurement activities and accurate data is recorded in SharePoint.
- Provide surge support across CRCSU functions to undertake their tasks during busy periods, including support for recruitment, procurement, due diligence reviews, contracting, logistics and administration, preparing payments for suppliers, and reporting
- Work with the Operations team in maintaining and contributing to continuous improvement of processes and systems
- Other tasks and duties as required to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of the CRCSU

**About You**
- Experience working in a similar role, preferably in an international development context
- Demonstrated experience or interest in operations, administrative and logistics support
- High level of computing skills with experience in word processing, spreadsheets, Share Point and databases
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively at a range of administrative and activity levels in a cross-cultural setting
- Strong organisational skills including planning, developing, implementing and maintaining administrative systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of and commitment to Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), Child Protection, PSEAH, prevention of human trafficking, environmental protection, anti-corruption and other DFAT safeguarding policies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in liaising with a range of partners, stakeholders and vendors and supporting staff to build their capacity to work with information systems
- Dynamic and flexible to be able to respond to changing priorities.
