Government client seeks Project Leads to lead the delivery of project & initiatives in accordance with the Department's project management framework

**About the role**
Government department seeks highly experienced Project Leads for full-time, 6 months contracts based in Melbourne CBD with an immediate start.
As the Project Lead, you will lead and manage the delivery of project and initiatives in accordance with the Department's project management framework to agreed scope, time, quality and budget outcomes to achieve safety, operational and commercial objectives.
**Responsibilities and duties**
Key responsibilities and duties will include:
- preparing high-quality product documentation: Delivery Brief and Project Management Plan, risk workshops, project schedules and procurement documentation for the release and evaluation of the EOI and preparation of Request for Tender documentation.
- leading the development of commercial arrangements with delivery advisor and project stakeholders that maximise value for money and lead the successful delivery of business objectives.
- monitoring and reviewing the project assurance activities and documentation to ensure the project will deliver on its business case benefits and the network performance outcomes will be realised.
- establishing and managing the accountability framework for key decisions and approvals through the project life cycle that utilises established governance arrangements within the department and across the whole of government.
- providing accurate, high quality advice and innovative solutions to complex issues to internal and external stakeholders.
**Experience and skills**
The skills and experience you will need to demonstrate include:
- 5+ years' experience successfully managing and delivering complex multi-stakeholder business and technology projects.
- Accredited qualifications in relevant project management methodologies e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall, SDLC
- Experience in managing significant change and communication projects involving tight timeframes and complex issues.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership skills demonstrated in the delivery of significant change initiatives.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with strong interpersonal skills for building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and confidently express complex concepts, negotiating with tact and diplomacy on difficult issues.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines.
