At Proximity, positions within our Procurement & Contracts Group are broad in nature. You may be adept at being a key team member in end-to-end delivery of high value and complex procurement projects, or playing a key part in the client delivery procurement program, where your understanding of the Defence or Commonwealth Government procurement and contracting life-cycle is top-of-mind everyday.

Prior experience working within or with a Federal Government department in a commercial setting, with exposure to high-value procurements, delivering commercial advisory services as required across Defence, National Security, Health, Environment or other agencies.

A current Australian Security Clearance is required.

**The objectives of the position include**:

- Use your practical understanding of government procurement policies to interpret process and procedures for best project outcomes
- Support the collaborative negotiation with suppliers, anticipate problems and encourage strong performance outcomes for our clients
- Work collaboratively, build and sustain relationships with team members and stakeholders to achieve a common outcome
- Support or lead streams of work including RFQ development, approach to market, evaluation processes, and contract management, compliance assessment, gap analysis, risk assessment, pricing and value for money assessment for on time delivery.

In the Department of Defence, these roles are Level 3 and high Level 2 roles.
