**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This role is responsible for leading a team of support staff to make a real difference in the delivery of quality culturally appropriate, strengths based, trauma informed, collaborative case work services. In this role, you will ensure that the team delivers a range of evidence-based, trauma-informed, culturally competent and responsive services to ensure that all children and young people are supported to meet their full potential.

Our Team Coordinator - Residential care is responsible for leading a group of support workers and managing the operations of their designated residential sites, ensuring the needs of the individuals we support are met. Our Individual placement arrangement (IPA) homes provide support in their daily living, building their capacity & independence.

As the Team Coordinator
- residential care, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a residential houses which include documentation for client supports/funding/rosters/service agreements, and a team of Support Workers (SW) who support our clients. It is important that we build on a strong foundation of skills and experience that you must deliver strong outcomes to the organization.

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Relevant tertiary qualification in the social sciences or equivalent sector experience
- A minimum of 3 or more years field experience in the social and community services sector
- Minimum of 2 years' experience leading a team
- Current NSW drivers' license
- Demonstrated understanding of child protection issues and the ability to identify and address these issues when required.
- Experience leading teams in culturally affirmative practice.
- Demonstrated commitment to leading teams where the voice of the young person is heard and valued.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective community networks to promote the service and facilitate access to community supports and resources.
- Computer literacy including a sound level of competency with Microsoft Office platforms and client management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work within risk management frameworks including oversighting risk assessments and safety plans for vulnerable children and young people.
- Comply with NSW Working with Children Check and National Police History Check requirements.

**EVEN BETTER**
- Case management experience.
- Knowledge and experience in restoration practices, working with families through the restoration process and the Structured Decision Making (SDM) model.
